Survey shows that simply improving your communication can grow your business
Survey shows cat owners fail to have their cats vaccinated annually due to confusion where veterinarians use "too many big words" and offer "no take away information".
A Merial Animal Health survey of 2000 cat owners has revealed:
- 48% of cat owners didn’t feel it was necessary to vaccinate their pets annually
- 28% of cat owners didn’t feel they had to vaccinate at all
- 60% of respondents knew very little or nothing about the diseases they were at risk from
The survey also confirmed that over 50% of pet owners were seeking information online or on social media. But, still cited their veterinary team as the most valued resource.
The top 5 responses for failing to understand information about vaccinations from their vet were:
- Information overload
- Too many big words
- Felt rushed
- Distracted by their pet
- No take away information
